Dwight Funding Named in SFNet’s Great Places to Work 2026
Dwight Funding has been named to The Secured Lender’s 2026 Great Places to Work. Below, what our team had to say about career growth, the culture we’ve built, and why the consumer brands we finance make this a rare seat in secured finance.
What programs do you offer to attract and retain talent?
Dwight is designed to be a place where continuous enrichment and long-term career growth are the norm. We invest heavily in professional coaching, mentorship, and outside coursework, giving team members at every level the tools to build new skills that drive the company forward. That same commitment extends to our internship program, where interns take on high-impact projects across the organization, sharpening their professional interests and often building a runway to full-time roles.
Our culture is built around that same growth mindset. The clearest example is a one-month paid sabbatical that every team member earns after five years to step back and recharge. We also come together for annual ski trips, summer barbeques, and VIP events across the consumer industry. Our hybrid model balances meaningful in-person collaboration with the flexibility people need to do their best work. Our office, with 360-degree views of Manhattan, is designed to be both collaborative and enjoyable. It features an open floor plan, an in-house gym, a regular on-site chiropractor and barber, daily catering, pressed juice Thursdays, and more.
What makes your company stand out?
Dwight stands out because of the innovation, the people, and the brands we support. Since 2015, we have reimagined asset-based lending from the ground up, using data, automation, and a growing suite of AI tools to eliminate the friction founders have long associated with secured lending. For our team, that means working on the cutting edge, with the freedom to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions that push the industry forward.
Our people come from finance, tech, and consumer backgrounds to have a direct impact on the brands they see every day on shelves and in their feeds. As the leading asset-based lender in our space, our team has helped scale game-changing brands like Chubbies and Hero Cosmetics from the early stage through to successful, multi-million dollar exits. For anyone passionate about the consumer world, it is a rare seat to have.
What’s the best part of working in your industry? What’s the hardest?
The best part of the job is building lasting relationships with some of the fastest-growing brands in consumer. It is uniquely rewarding to help a founder go from launching into their first major retailer, to eventually closing a big growth round or a successful transaction.
The challenge is that each consumer category carries its own cash flow dynamics and supply chain realities, and each reacts differently when the economy or regulations shift. Those inflection points are exactly where we set ourselves apart. Our proprietary data and AI-driven analysis help us see a shift coming, and decades of category experience tell us how to respond. It is that combination of technology and specialization that lets us manage risk with real precision.
