Dwight is looking for a diligent, detail-oriented, and motivated individual to build cutting-edge solutions that enable us to better serve our growing portfolio through lending and partnership.

Responsibilities

  • Support the product owner in developing the vision and roadmap for apps and projects
  • Work closely with users to understand their needs. Define, prioritize, and refine features from the product backlog for dev
  • Break down features into user stories and groom with dev to align on the optimal solution. Ensure software expectations are set with the users and stakeholders
  • Ensure there are enough “ready" stories to load the next 1-2 sprints. Participate in and support sprint planning
  • Partner with dev to deliver reliable and scalable solutions via an agile sprint methodology
  • Collaborate with technology team members, end users, and other stakeholders in the testing of new programs and applications, including the coordination of UAT
  • Maximize software ROI. Review, analyze, and report on the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and features. Brainstorm strategies to improve and/or better leverage these systems

About You

  • You have 1-3 years of experience working as a product owner/business analyst on technical programs and projects in complex fast paced environments (preferably at a B2B fintech)
  • You thrive defining features, writing user stories and enjoy creating the supporting materials to ensure shared understanding. Experience with Figma, Powerpoint, Visio creating mockups and process flows is a plus
  • You’re highly skilled in translating business needs into application requirements using agile principles and techniques. Experience with agile project management tools like Jira, CA Agile/Rally, or Asana are desirable
  • You’re to able to communicate effectively (written & verbal) and influence leaders, business users, and subject matter experts
  • You have strong project management skills. You can prioritize and tackle parallel work threads, as well as manage up and laterally to get work across the finish line without compromising quality
  • You demonstrate strong attention to detail, whether it’s in self-review or peer review. Nothing gets past you
  • You thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. You anticipate sprint impediments and will flag down when you need support from a team member
