Business Development, Analyst

Dwight Funding is looking for someone hungry, sharp, and ready to grow to join our Business Development team.

Dwight Funding partners with some of the most exciting growth-stage consumer brands in the country, helping founders access the working capital they need to build category-defining businesses. Our Business Development team works at the center of that – in daily conversations with founders, investors, and industry leaders across the consumer landscape. This role is designed for someone who wants to learn that world from the inside out and build a career in BD, with a real path to owning their own deals and client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain all Salesforce CRM activities, including data entry, pipeline tracking, and reporting
  • Handle inbox management and email correspondence
  • Coordinate and manage scheduling, including client meetings, internal calls, and business development activities
  • Participate in calls and meetings across the Business Development team, gaining exposure to client relationships, deal evaluation, and business initiatives
  • Prepare materials and presentations for business development meetings
  • Support the development and refinement of business development processes and workflows
  • Develop a deep understanding of Dwight Funding’s target market and deal criteria through active involvement in the business development process
  • Proactively identify and source new leads and opportunities, with the goal of independently managing a pipeline of prospects as you grow into the role

About You

  • 1 to 3 years of professional experience in business development, sales operations, or related fields with a strong desire to grow into a deal-originating, client-facing role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
  • Preferred experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Preferred experience with Asana or similar cloud-based project management software
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated efficiency in process management and workflow optimization
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment, with an entrepreneurial mindset and genuine ambition to grow into a senior business development role
